Position Overview:
The Staff Accountant position, reporting to the Finance Manager, is a comprehensive role which uses the company’s Oracle NetSuite general ledger system, records journal entries for all accounting cycles, processes account payable, reconciles daily cash and bank activities, and assists with month-end and year-end closing activities. The Staff Accountant prepares certain general ledger monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Primary Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable by collecting invoices and approvals from multiple sources in decentralized remote environment.Maintain complete and accessible accounting records in a virtual environment using NetSuite and network shared drives.Support the company’s accounts payable of client pass-through charges to ensure accounts payable are paid in conjunction with cash receipts from clients.Make appropriate transaction coding decisions using chart of accounts and distinguishing client vs company charges.Support the month-end / year-end financial close.Record daily cash inflow/outflow transactions including client accounts receivable remittances.Complete daily or monthly bank reconciliations for high transaction volume business using NetSuite reconciliation tool.Address all bank reconciliation exception items timely (e.g. voided checks/ACHs returns, payment errors, lost/fraud checks).Roll forward daily cashflows to support treasury management and accounts receivable monitoring/collection efforts.Monitor recurring monthly expenses and recommend/record month end accruals where appropriate.Prepare monthly closing general ledger entries, including intercompany transactionsEnsure that key general ledger accounts are reconciled to subsidiary records on a monthly basis.Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or Senior VP, Controller.Qualifications & Software/Technology:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.CPA preferred but not required.3-5 years accounting experience required.Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Cash Management Experience with NetSuite is required.Experience with NetSuite CSV uploads.Complete understanding of GAAP and full bookkeeping responsibilities.Precise and intensely detail oriented.Fully owns responsibilities with minimal oversight.Able to multi-task and take direction from multiple managers.Self-starter / independent – maintains high productivity in remote work environment.Strong proficiency with Excel.IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries. The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $40,900.00 - $102,400.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
