Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Worcester, Massachusetts. In this role, you will handle key financial operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and participate in special accounting projects. This is a long-term contract position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing organization. Responsibilities: • Manage and process accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Oversee accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and payment tracking. • Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. • Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed. • Handle payroll processing, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. • Collaborate on special financial projects to support organizational goals. • Provide detailed financial reports and analysis to assist decision-making processes. • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to accounting best practices. Requirements • Proven experience with journal entries and general ledger management. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Proficiency in payroll processing and related compliance standards. • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. • Ability to analyze and reconcile financial data effectively. • Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams. • Proficiency in accounting software and tools. • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
