As Staff Accountant, you will be an integral member of the accounting team, performing accounting activities and ensuring the accuracy of the financial statements through interactions with the accounting team and various departments. Areas of responsibility may include inventory and distribution or general accounting as needs arise
This role provides flexibility to work in a hybrid environment of home and our Westlake Village, CA office. (Hybrid is defined as 3 times per week in the office).
Responsibilities Primary Accountabilities:Participate in the close process by preparing journal entries and related analysis.Prepare accruals and ensure account balances are complete and accurate.Support the GR/IR process, ensuring timely resolution of open transactions.Prepare account reconciliations and ensure reconciling items are resolved timely.Identify improvements to processes and procedures.Assist management in special projectsOther duties as assigned Qualifications Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring: 3+ years of experience in accounting with close experience, CPG a plusUnderstanding of GAAP and IFRSStrong analytical skills and attention to detailExceptional verbal and written communication skillsIntermediate to advanced Excel skills Ability to learn new systems required, experience with SAP and Blackline preferred.What You’ll Need to Succeed:Passionate about a purpose driven careerPassionate about collaborating respectfully in diverse and inclusive team environmentsProactively seeks feedback and continuously improves work qualityConsistently adheres to ethical standards and maintains transparencyActively contributes to achieving collective team goalsEducation & Certification:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business (Accounting preferred)CPA or equivalent a plusPhysical Requirements:Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.Travel Requirements:Occasional travel may be requiredAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, sex, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or on the basis of disability.
FOR JOBS BASED IN CALIFORNIA:
Hiring Pay Scale: $75,000 to $85,000
