Description We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our restaurant chain client's finance team. This entry-to-mid-level role is ideal for an individual looking to grow their accounting career and gain hands-on experience across various financial functions. Key Responsibilities: + Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. + Perform daily accounting tasks such as general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations. + Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed, including processing invoices and payments. + Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy. + Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. + Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights to management. + Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, as well as GAAP. + Collaborate with senior accountants and other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies. + Assist with audits by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation. + Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation. Requirements Required Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + 1-3 years of experience in an accounting role (internship experience is a plus). + Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables). + Experience with accounting software is highly desirable. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. + Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member.
