Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing financial processes and ensuring accurate reporting for a manufacturing organization. This position is based in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Responsibilities: • Review and analyze general ledger accounts, preparing and posting journal entries as necessary. • Perform account reconciliations, including bank statements and intercompany accounts, to ensure accuracy. • Maintain and update the general ledger chart of accounts to support accurate financial reporting. • Assist in conducting initial evaluations of internal controls to uphold compliance standards. • Prepare and post monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals to support financial closing processes. • Collaborate with teams to ensure efficient month-end closing procedures. • Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage financial data. • Support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure proper alignment of transactions. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. • Strong proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and general ledger management. • Expertise in preparing journal entries and supporting month-end close activities. • Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. • Solid understanding of accrual accounting and financial reporting principles. • Ability to conduct account analysis and reconciliations with attention to detail. • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus. • Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
