Description We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Eugene, Oregon. This position will span approximately eight weeks and requires expertise in accounting processes, particularly related to tax filings and financial reporting. The role is fully on-site. Responsibilities: • Submit sales tax filings by compiling reports and managing submissions through online portals. • Prepare and organize business licenses for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Oversee property tax payments • Utilize advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP, to analyze and manage financial data. • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely processing of payments. • Communicate effectively with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth operations. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting, preferably within sales tax and property tax filings. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders. • Previous experience in submitting tax filings through online platforms is a plus. • High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
