Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities: • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. • Perform bank reconciliations to verify and balance financial records. • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. • Prepare and post journal entries to reflect financial activities. • Assist with the month-end close process, including preparing reports and analyzing data. • Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP for financial management. • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in all financial operations. • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency. • Support audits by providing documentation and resolving discrepancies as needed. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance. • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and handling month-end close procedures. • Familiarity with accounting software including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP. • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
