Staff Accountant
Description We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, combining both remote and on-site days in Cleveland, Ohio. If you have experience in accounting, particularly in the non-profit sector, and are proficient in QuickBooks and Excel, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities: • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Handle billing activities and maintain accurate financial records. • Record general ledger entries and perform month-end close procedures. • Reconcile accounts and bank statements to ensure financial accuracy. • Prepare and track program budgets, monitoring revenue and expenses. • Generate financial reports for board meetings and other stakeholders. • Utilize QuickBooks Online for daily accounting tasks and data management. • Apply advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, to analyze financial data. • Support financial operations within a non-profit environment, adhering to specific compliance requirements. Requirements • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required. • Strong command of Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs. • Prior experience in non-profit accounting is highly preferred. • Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes. • Demonstrated ability to handle month-end close activities and perform account reconciliations. • Experience in preparing budgets and generating financial reports. • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
