The Staff Accountant will support the traditional monthly close responsibilities related primarily to bi-weekly payroll and other compensation programs. Additionally, this individual will collaborate with other team members to support compiling data for external reporting as well as projects aligned with improving the efficiency of accounting and reporting processes.

In the Role

Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for assigned accountsPrepare various accrual related schedules for discussion with business partnersResearch account variances and document monthly variance explanationsPrepare support for both internal and external auditsPrepare and review data utilized for SEC reporting disclosuresEnsure adherence to accounting policies and principles

Requirements

CPA or CPA candidate is preferred1-2 years of experience in accounting rolesExcellent organizational skillsSolid basic accounting skillsExceptional oral and written communication skillsAbility to think, and work, independently resolving challenging issues under tight deadlines

Preferred:

Consumer lending, financial services and payroll accounting experience a plusBachelor's degree in Accounting
