Description We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will play a key part in managing accounts payable and receivable processes, performing reconciliations, and assisting with month-end close activities. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with accounting software. Responsibilities: • Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely payments. • Manage accounts receivable operations, including invoicing and collections. • Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. • Assist with month-end close procedures, including preparing journal entries and reviewing general ledger accounts. • Analyze financial data and generate reports to support decision-making. • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. • Utilize Sage 300 and NetSuite for accounting tasks and support system transition efforts. • Review aging reports for accounts payable and receivable to optimize cash flow management. • Provide support for special projects and ad hoc accounting assignments as needed. • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation in line with company standards. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred. • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, including AP and AR processes. • Proficiency with Sage 300 and familiarity with NetSuite is highly desirable. • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and journal entries. • Ability to interpret financial transactions and their impact on books. • Experience with month-end close activities and financial reconciliations. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Business casual attire and professionalism in an office environment.
