Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in Irving, Texas, and offers an opportunity to contribute to financial operations in a collaborative and focused environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and basic office skills. Responsibilities: • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries and reconciliations. • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. • Support the budgeting process by providing detailed financial data and analysis. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of audits and reviews. • Monitor and analyze financial transactions to identify discrepancies and propose solutions. • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency in accounting operations. • Provide assistance during system transitions or upgrades, ensuring seamless integration of accounting processes. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting or a related field. • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. • Proficiency in basic office tools such as spreadsheets and accounting software. • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively. • Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve financial discrepancies. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
