Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of our organization through accurate accounting processes and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both accounts payable and receivable, as well as experience with various accounting systems. Responsibilities: • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. • Prepare and record journal entries in compliance with accounting standards. • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are properly documented. • Assist in month-end close procedures, including reconciliations and financial reporting. • Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to perform daily tasks efficiently. • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. • Analyze financial data to support decision-making and improve overall accounting processes. • Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Proficiency in bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance. • Strong knowledge of journal entries and month-end close procedures. • Hands-on experience with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
