Description Chris Preble from Robert Half is working with a Syracuse client of his that has outstanding work life balance (it will be rare to work over 37 hours a week) and a terrific 401k match plan. This role is with a very low turnover organization. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting both general accounting and accounts receivable functions. Responsibilities: • Help prepare journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger accounts. • Reconcile account balances and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. • Contribute to the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and audit documentation. • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to support financial stability. • Monitor overdue accounts, follow up on outstanding balances, and maintain detailed payment records. • Process incoming payments and post them to the appropriate accounts when required. • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing disputes and ensure smooth operations. Requirements • Proficiency in accounts receivable and general ledger processes is a plus. • Strong experience with bank reconciliations and journal entry preparation. • Familiarity with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting. • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
