Staff Accountant

**Job Description:**
Envista Holdings is looking for a Staff Accountant to support our growing presence in Costa Rica. The Staff Accountant will participate in US GAAP accounting and reporting for the operations in Costa Rica. The Staff Accountant will maintain compliance and internal control policies and procedures. The position is based in San Jose, Costa Rica and reports to the Lead Senior Accountant based in Costa Rica.
**Job Requirements:**
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Work closely with Lead Senior Accountant to insure adherence to all corporate policies and legal requirements.
+ Assist with month-end closing activities and ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
+ Compile and analyze financial information to prepare necessary journal entries for properly stated financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
+ Prepare monthly account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts ensuring financial records are maintained in compliance with company policy. Review, investigate, and resolve accounting errors, discrepancies, and reconciling items.
+ Assist with payroll accounting
+ Assist in the preparation of reporting packages, as required, to comply with corporate financial reporting requirements and statutory regulations.
+ Document and coordinate the implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures and modify as necessary.
+ Assist with audit requests from internal and external auditors.
+ Special projects, ad-hoc reports, and analysis as required.
+ Other duties may be assigned.
**Education and/or Experience**
+ 4 years related experience
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
**Skills:**
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (especially Excel).
+ Large company experience with sophisticated ERP system (Oracle and HFM a plus).
+ Working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX.
+ Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and do what it takes to meet deadlines.
+ Strong written and verbal communications, analytical, planning, and teamwork skills.
