About Team:

Our team collaborates with Walmart International, which has over 5,900 retail units operating outside of the United States under 55 banners in 26 countries including Africa, Argentina, Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Japan, and Mexico, to name a few.

What you'll do:

Partner with cross-functional team members to develop and maintain a well-defined roadmap, while balancing technological excellenceLead technical direction and architecture with engineering team members.Facilitate coordination of multiple scrum teams to successfully deliver committed feature sets.Driving practices in training, development, and efficiencies across multiple feature teams.Diagnose and resolve systemic obstacles that prevent your team from delivering high-quality softwareBuild a culture of continuous learning, growth, and sharing of technological insights.Educate and advocate for engineering best practices within the backend services ecosystemRecruit, mentor, and develop world-class engineers.You will be responsible for leading and working with a team of highly capable and committed engineers working on large scale back-end technologies.The team is engaged in design, development, and delivery of next-generation platforms for our customers, creating next gen services and continuously improving how we work.You will Lead end-to-end projects by reviewing project requirements, Collaborating with cross-functional teams, translating requirements into technical solutions, working across architects from different teams , gathering requested information (e.g., design documents, product requirements, wireframes), writing and developing code, conducting unit testing, communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders, troubleshooting open issues and bug fixes, ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs, interacting with the project manager to provide input on the project plan, and providing leadership to the project team.Leads engineering projects by providing pertinent documents, direction, and examples; identifying short- and long-term solutions and timelines; reviewing and providing feedback for proposed solutions; and performing design and code reviews of changes.Troubleshoots business and production issues by gathering information (e.g., issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause); engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues; formulating an action plan; performing actions as designated in the plan; interpreting the results to determine further action; performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences of issues; and completing online documentation.Provides support to the business by responding to users' questions, concerns, and issues (e.g., technical feasibility, implementation strategies); identifying short- and long-term solutions; facilitating resolutions; and leading cross-functional partnerships.Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others in applying these when executing business processes and practices.

What you'll bring:

BS/MS with minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering8+ years of software development experience building large scale micro services and scalable platforms to support complex solutionsProficiency in Java, Spring boot, No SQL databases , Kafka , Cloud systems (Azure) and other modern backend technologies.Demonstrated ability to deliver multiple complex technical projects in an agile environmentDemonstrated ability to foster a culture of learning, psychological safety, respect for differences and collaboration across all engineering skill levels.Strong design sensibility and attention to detailBelieves in the value of writing code that is clean, testable, and maintainableBachelor’s degree; or equivalent practical experience
