Global Installment Lending (GIL) is part of Amazon Payments organisation. We are an organisation with customer obsession to deliver win-win solutions for Customers, Amazon and our Bank Partners.
We are looking for a motivated Sr. Technical Program Manager to join the team to help deliver core components of our Installment systems. Core GIL components are used across 14+ countries. Come join us!
Key job responsibilities
As a Sr TPM you will be expected to
• Own programs with significant complexity with broad cross-organizational and/or deep architectural impact.
• Drive large engineering efforts that solve significantly difficult problems for internal team and external partners
• Identify risks/opportunities in technical strategies, architecture(s), in engineering organization structure(s).
• Scope, plan, implement and deliver projects and programs, and collaborate with program managers and senior leaders to align with strategic vision and goals
• Drive projects cross functionally, build partnerships with other organizations, and work proactively with business teams to ensure security objectives are met
• Establish metrics and regular reporting mechanisms
• Support deep dive assessments and ad-hoc data analysis requests
• Deliver findings, recommendations and remediation steps for all activities
About the team
Global Installments Lending (GIL) team owns the systems that enable installments every Amazon customer in the world. We balance keeping our systems fast, scalable and performant (no exceptions!) with rapidly delivering great features for Amazon customers and our developer partners. In short, we get to own and innovate on a critical customer experience while also supporting every other external partners.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
