Sr. Video Editor/Animator

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: The Senior Video Editor/Animator role plays a key role in shaping the visual language of the brand through high-quality video content. Working within a collaborative internal agency environment on a wide range of creative projects, this position combines editorial expertise with motion design to support integrated marketing campaigns, product launches, social content, executive communications, and more.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE

Edits and animates both short- and long-form video content for a variety of uses such as marketing campaigns, social media, product explainers, internal communications, events, and branded storytelling.Collaborates closely with creative directors, producers, designers, and copywriters to ensure all video content aligns with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.Leads post-production workflows, including selecting footage, designing sound, applying color grading, and creating multiple versions for different platforms or audiences.Develops and maintains a library of motion graphics toolkits and reusable animation assets to streamline production and ensure brand consistency.Offers creative input throughout the production process—from concept to final delivery—to ensure visual consistency and high-quality storytelling.Demonstrates a strong sense of visual storytelling, pacing, and rhythm across various formats and distribution channels, including social media, digital platforms, and broadcast.Explores emerging technologies and trends, including AI-driven video creation tools, with training provided upon joining the team.Supports localization and versioning efforts to adapt content for global markets, ensuring cultural relevance and accuracy.Manages projects across multiple teams, including brand, growth, campaign strategy, events, and digital strategy, ensuring alignment, accuracy and timely delivery.Engages in cross-functional collaboration and incorporates feedback from stakeholders and leadership to refine and improve deliverables.Assists with video or photography capture when needed; prior experience is a plus but not required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising or public relations from an accredited college or university preferred.

Six (6) years of professional experience in video editing and motion graphics within an in-house brand team, creative agency, or production studio or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience working with brand guidelines, typography, and graphic systems in animation required.

Skills & Knowledge

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro, After Effects, and supporting tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition)Basic knowledge of color grading and audio mixingWorking knowledge of DAM systems and workflow tools like Frame.io, or WrikeFamiliarity with 3D animation tools (Cinema 4D, Blender) or VFX integration preferred but not requiredHighly PC literate and/or MAC understanding, including Microsoft Office products and understanding and experience in online project management software i.e. Workfront, Asana, Monday.com, (Sedgwick currently using Wrike)Understanding of performance-driven content for platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and InstagramStrong storytelling skillsStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to translate narratives into engaging visual contentExcellent interpersonal and diplomacy skillsAbility to manage multiple and changing prioritiesAbility to manage high-volume, complex projects involving multiple stakeholdersAbility to communicate clearly, concisely, quickly, and effectivelyAbility to direct or shoot digital video content (camera/lighting knowledge) is preferred but not required

As required by law, Sedgwick provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency in job postings. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is $75,000 - $100,000. A comprehensive benefits package is offered including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, 401k and matching, PTO, disability and life insurance, employee assistance, flexible spending or health savings account, and other additional voluntary benefits
