Description The Senior Technical Program Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex programs focused on implementing responsible content integration practices for Amazon's AI systems. This role will drive cross-functional coordination between product, engineering, and business stakeholders to establish principled guidelines, ensure appropriate content usage, and develop sustainable partnerships. The TPM will manage program timelines, ensure compliance with our responsible AI principles, and deliver solutions that maintain Amazon's commitment to trustworthy AI development. Key job responsibilities - Define and drive a strategic framework for responsible content integration, aligning with Amazon's business objectives, responsible AI principles, and industry best practices. - Collaborate closely with legal, governance, engineering, product, and business development teams to gather requirements, prioritize responsible integration approaches, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. - Identify and address governance considerations, external dependencies, and operational requirements; escalate policy questions and drive thoughtful resolution as needed. - Develop detailed implementation plans, track progress against responsible AI milestones, and provide regular updates to leadership on our principled content integration practices. A day in the life A typical day involves reviewing content integration quality metrics, collaborating with governance and legal teams on implementation guidelines, and aligning with product and business teams on responsible content usage standards. You'll participate in industry working groups exploring responsible AI practices and help establish clear frameworks for appropriate content usage. You'll drive program updates focused on responsible implementation, track key compliance metrics, and provide leadership with insights on industry best practices. Throughout, you'll identify improvements to our responsible AI processes and ensure our content integration practices align with Amazon's commitment to trustworthy AI development. Basic Qualifications - 8+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience - 7+ years of technical product or program management experience - 4+ years of software development experience - 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules Preferred Qualifications - 7+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience - Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules - Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
