Job Description:
Parsons is seeking an amazingly talented Test Engineer to join our growing team! In this role, you will test code and scripting to integrate a satellite ground control system used by multiple mission partners. You will incorporate mission partners into the ground systems environment, including the testing of mission scripts and procedures. This will include integration code, such as functions or subroutines within a software library or program, primarily designed to invoke another subroutine or system call with minimal computation. Additionally, the testing of software or tools that facilitate the connection and integration of distinct software applications, systems, or components to ensure seamless interoperability.
What You'll Be Doing:
Design and implement software performance testing procedures and scriptsCollect, review, analyze, and report test and evaluation dataTesting the computer software required to support integration between mission software and the ground systemCreation of technical documentationWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline explicitly related to computer architecture. An advanced degree is preferred at this level.Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility8+ years of related professional experience, including knowledge of testing APIs, functions, and subroutines between programs.Proficiency in testing Python scripting to incorporate needed software configuration parameters.Strong interpersonal and communication skillsUnderstanding software testing principles and best practicesKnowledge and understanding of software development lifecyclesGood technical writing skillsBe comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quicklyWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience with Satellite Operations, TT&C systems, sustainment, or similar experience related to Space OpsKnowledge of Software Suites services and how to configure them to meet Mission Partner requirementsKnowledge of OpenC3 COSMOSProficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation tasks.Experience with using version control software and process (Git)Experience working in an Agile Software Development environment (Scrum)Security Clearance Requirement:
