Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries in Essex, VT is seeking a Building Maintenance Sr. Technician to perform Planned and Corrective Maintenance on a variety of building systems supporting general office HVAC and specialized laboratory & manufacturing systems. This Technician will work a 5/2 schedule (M-F, 7AM-330PM), working rotational weekend / holiday times as needed. This role will be fully on site at our 200mm Semiconductor manufacturing facility in Essex Junction, VT.

Essential Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical, and Control SystemsPerform Mechanical System maintenance and repairsEnsure proper system operationsPerform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.Provide line support to customers in manufacturing, offices, or labs, and assistance with equipment installs / upgrade projectsWork Areas include but are not limited to: Building Maintenance, Gas Services, High Voltage/ElectricalEnsure high emphasis on safety, equipment reliability, and environmental rules and regulations.Work in a team environment with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Other Responsibilities:

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and associated programs.Other tasks as assigned by manager.

Required Qualifications:

Education – High School Diploma or equivalentExperience – Minimum 2-3 years' experience with HVAC and building systemsAttention to detail and maintain equipment efficiently without impacting system operation.Familiarity with computers and displays excellent communication skillsTravel: 0% travel requiredLanguage: Fluent in English language (both written and verbal)Physical Capacity Demands: Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.Schedule flexibility is important as occasional weekend coverage will be required.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates degree in a HVAC or electronics/mechanical field4+ years of Mechanical / Electrical Systems operations and maintenanceDemonstrated troubleshooting skills / technical aptitudeIndustrial / Commercial System experience Understanding of system design parameters, safety / environmental shutdown scenarios, and electronic control of equipmentProject management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguityStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong planning & organizational skills

Expected Salary Range

$46,400.00 - $80,100.00
