The Sr. Technical Specialist will work closely with the Mechanical Testing Laboratories as part of the Global Research & Development organization in day-to-day activities supporting coordination of documentation, SAP, inventory management, purchase requisitions, CUP’s requests, denied parties, technical reports, expense/capitol logging and tracking, daily management of projects/work, project management and planning activities such as visual management.
This location is located onsite in our Cortland, NY facility
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Manage SAP data by working collaboratively across the organization within cross functional R&D teams in support of New Product Development maintaining data management principles and integrity to ensure a high-quality output, including but not limited to:
Coordination of materials/components for new products (quotes, entering requisitions, arranging shipping, tracking etc.)Management of technical report tools including laboratory notebook management.Track total department/portfolio cost charges to use in budget tracking.Manage lab work request system and VPM for Mechanical Lab team as well as tracking Factory Shipping Orders (FSO)Manage department general lab inventories (chemical/VMI) including hardware and consumables.Work with engineers and technicians to facilitate and coordinate builds of test stands and filter hardware components with both internal and external vendors.The essential requirements of the job include:
Associates degree with at least 5 years related work experience.Must be computer literate and proficient in the use the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Minimum 5 years’ experience with SAP or similar ERP system and hands-on data entry and running queriesIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

The salary range for this role is $63,000 – $68,500. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
