What You will Be Doing
Sr. Technical Project Manager will drive delivery excellence, being responsible for owning and driving portfolio management across Corporate Functions Technology, with a focus on leading large-scale agile transformation initiatives. This role ensures alignment with CIBC Bank USA and Enterprise standards, and champions delivery excellence through best practices, continuous improvement, and measurable outcomes.

How You will Succeed
Portfolio Management: Own and manage the technology project portfolio across corporate functions, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and strategic objectives.
Agile Transformation Leadership: Drive large-scale agile transformation initiatives, guiding teams and stakeholders through adoption of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
Program & Project Management: Lead end-to-end program and project management activities in accordance with CIBC Bank USA and Enterprise standards, ensuring successful delivery of complex initiatives.
KPI & OKR Definition: Define, implement, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and quarterly objectives and key results (OKRs) to measure and drive delivery excellence.
Roadmap Development: Develop and maintain comprehensive project and program roadmaps, ensuring clear visibility of milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
Agile Ceremonies & Best Practices: Lead and facilitate large-scale agile ceremonies (e.g., PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, Retrospectives), and provide guidance on agile best practices to teams and leadership.
Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, implementing, and measuring process enhancements across delivery teams.
Tooling Expertise: Leverage expertise in JIRA, Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks to optimize workflow, reporting, and transparency.
Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and engagement throughout project lifecycles.
Who You Are
You have a minimum of 8 years of experience in technical project/program management, with proven success in large-scale agile transformation and portfolio management.
You possess deep expertise in Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks, with hands-on experience leading agile ceremonies and coaching teams.
You are highly proficient in tools like JIRA and other agile project management tools.
You are driven to succeed: Demonstrated ability to manage projects in alignment with bank and enterprise standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
You know details matter. You possess a strong capability in defining, tracking, and reporting on KPIs, OKRs, and delivery metrics.
You are a certified professional. You have current accreditation and good standing in PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent certifications.
You are a caring and accountable leader: You bring excellent leadership, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across multiple teams and stakeholders.
You embrace and advocate for change: You have a track record of promoting and implementing continuous improvement initiatives within technology delivery organizations.
It is an asset if you have prior banking or financial services experience.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 for the Chicago market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
