**About the Role** We are hiring a **Technical Program Manager (TPM)** to integrate into the Fares Platform and collaborate with policy, legal, and compliance teams in evaluating potential policy changes globally. You'll translate these regulations into clear technical implications, assess their impact on Uber's platforms, and drive execution with engineering teams to ensure compliance with the timelines set by new regulations. As a TPM at Uber, you'll lead org-wide initiatives that shape how our engineering organizations operate at scale. On the Mobility and Platforms TPM team, you'll own critical programs that touch hundreds of millions of riders and drivers every day. As the Fares TPM, this is an opportunity to shape a tier-1, mission-critical team that powers global fares and handles tens of billions of dollars in gross bookings. Share frameworks, tools, and playbooks that elevate program execution across Uber. **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional emotional intelligence. + Demonstrated ability as a TPM or Engineering Manager in a software, SaaS, or systems development environment + Proven strong cross-team and cross-org stakeholder management. + Analytical and truth-seeking. Ability to understand complex concepts and make reasoned decisions objectively. + Metrics-driven: Experience in resolving effective program critical metrics and using them to measure program success and issues. + Strong organizational skills to juggle many tasks without losing sight of the highest priority items. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Hands-on experience in the Regulatory, compliance, and financial space or similar. + Excellent in identifying process gaps, measuring progress, and balancing engineering and product efficiency. + Strong software development and distributed systems experience. + Worked at a high-paced, fast-growing, creative tech startup. + Developer experience, including writing, testing, and deploying code. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year. For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year.
