Operations Technology Networking keeps Amazon's warehouses digitally connected. Our team designs, builds, and maintains the network infrastructure that enables hundreds of thousands of warehouse workers and robots to fulfill billions of customer orders annually.
As Senior Technical Program Manager, you'll lead large-scale network infrastructure programs across Amazon's global fulfillment centers. You will work with a team of technical program managers, network and software development engineers, supply chain specialists, and other vital roles. You will collaborate with people across Fulfillment Technology & Robotics to deliver the highest standards for safety and reliability while providing capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
The team is seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager to deliver our next-generation of network solutions across operational sites. This role is crucial in transforming innovative designs into production-ready implementations that support an ecosystem of robotics, industrial IoT, sensors, drones, and mobile devices. We own the end-to-end process of delivering these next-generation networks, from managing vendor relationships and telecom connectivity between sites and AWS, to implementing and scaling new network architectures. The ideal candidate will drive the seamless integration of state-of-the-art networking technologies, ensuring our facilities remain at the forefront of digital connectivity and operational efficiency.
Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities of the position are to lead large scale network infrastructure programs, establish best practices for driving the product development lifecycle, use a data driven approach to hold stakeholders accountable for network development programs, leverage antigenic artificial intelligence to improve organizational productivity, and mentor junior employees.
- Own and define the roadmap for critical infrastructure engineering programs.
- Establish technical standards that enable rapid global deployment.
- Automate solutions that transform manual operations into scalable, resilient systems
- Lead complex technical initiatives across network engineering, robotics, and IoT platforms
- Leverage data and AI to influence architecture decisions and drive stakeholder accountability.
- Drive operational excellence through quantifiable metrics and continuous improvement, leveraging best practices in data engineering and artificial intelligence.
A day in the life
Daily activities consist of working with engineering leaders to design and build network solutions globally. These activities take the form of working with stakeholders on design requirements, developing automation strategy to deploy at scale, and risk mitigation.
- Simplifying process and implementing scalable mechanisms to track program progress and enabling scale in our support models
- Manage the inter-team and intra-team dependencies for critical programs; aligning accountability with delivery
- Providing concisely written technical communications to senior leaders at all levels.
- Managing metrics, tools, and establishing mechanisms to drive fast awareness to complexities that need fast decision to ensure continued progress.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
