We are seeking a talented technical professional with strong project management and technical skills to be our Technical Program Manager (TPM). You will manage complex programs and projects for a team building large-scale distributed systems that power Amazon's fulfillment centers worldwide. The successful candidate will manage multiple projects and programs, partnering with software development managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to design, build, and operate innovative sortation software. With a high degree of ownership, you will coordinate the development of our proprietary solutions end-to-end.

Key job responsibilities
Manage overall technical program lifecycle and coordinate multiple projects

Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex technical solutions

Report on status of program execution, quality, operations, and system performance to management

Work closely with engineers and product managers to define technical requirements and approach

Foster culture of continuous improvement through process optimization and best practices

Coordinate with various teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of projects

Work with a diverse customer base to understand requirements, priorities, and processes

Own all operational metrics and support for assigned programs

Have the obsession to drive a better customer experience through everything that we do here at Amazon

Bring innovative ideas to the table every day, in order to find better ways of accomplishing our customer objectives

About the team
Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) powers Amazon's global fulfillment network. We invent and deliver software, hardware, and data science solutions that orchestrate processes, robots, machines, and people. We harmonize the physical and virtual world so Amazon customers can get what they want, when they want it.

AFT's Outbound Flow team pairs data science with innovative technologies to optimize throughput within every Amazon fulfillment center. We deliver smiles for Amazon customers with safe, sustainable, cost-effective, on-time package deliveries.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
