Role Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Technical Business Analyst to take ownership of our Approval Rules configuration system within the Salesforce platform. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and compliance of our Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) approval processes by bridging business needs with technical solutions.
The ideal candidate will excel at gathering and translating business requirements into functional and system specifications, managing stakeholder relationships, and driving enhancements through structured SDLC and DevOps practices. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead both business analysis and system configuration efforts while playing a key role in data governance, SOX compliance, and operational process improvements.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary owner and subject matter expert for the CPQ Approval Rules configuration system on the Salesforce platform.

Manage the intake, prioritization, and delivery of change requests related to the Approval Rules process.

Facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions to gather business needs, clarify objectives, and align on process outcomes.

Analyze existing business processes and approval workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.

Translate business requirements into detailed functional and system requirements for implementation within the Salesforce platform.

Lead the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Approval Rules changes and enhancements in compliance with SDLC processes.

Collaborate closely with IT teams to define, prioritize, and deliver system features, enhancements, and defect resolutions.

Ensure adherence to data governance standards and manage approval process data quality and integrity.

Serve as SOX control owner for approval process-related controls, performing regular control execution and documentation.

Support and participate in DevOps activities such as environment management, deployment coordination, and data management tasks.

Contribute to occasional software development or scripting activities to support complex solutioning and integration needs.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and approval workflows.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a pertinent field.

5+ years of experience in business analysis, system configuration, or related technical business roles.

Demonstrated experience managing business process analysis and requirements gathering initiatives.

Strong working knowledge of the Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, etc.).

Proven ability to translate business requirements into functional/system specifications.

Experience working within a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) framework.

Experience working in compliance-regulated environments utilizing data governance frameworks.

Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex process and technical scenarios.

Preferred Qualifications:

Salesforce Administrator or Developer certification.

Experience owning and executing compliance controls or other governance-related processes (SOX, HIPAA, PCI DSS, or similar).

Experience with Configure-Price-Quote, Quote-to-Cash, and/or Sales Operations.

Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and processes for Salesforce or similar systems.

Experience in software development, scripting, or system integration projects.
