Position Description\:
The successful candidate for the Mission Project Integration Coordinator support position will provide direct support for the ITASAT2 mission which aims to demonstrate advanced space weather monitoring, RF geolocation, edge computing, and AI/ML technologies for real-time data analysis. This project is a joint effort between a number of US and Brazilian agencies. Support will be provided to the Mission Project Integration Coordinator (MPIC) in several mission integration support task areas as noted below, as well as other support areas as directed. Coordinates technical milestone tracking, documentation management, and cross-team scheduling. Acts as integration liaison for reviews, test events, and cross-agency documentation efforts. This is projected to be a part-time position.
Responsibilities\:
Specific support to be provided includes, but is not limited to, the following\:
Track and distribute action items, supporting briefings and technical meeting agendas with all partners.
Provide organizational and technical support for interagency communications, technical interface control and mission reporting.Generate integration status reports, interagency updates, and stakeholder briefing materials.Assist in risk identification and mitigation trackingEnsure multi-PI development activities remain aligned with the system-level integration strategy.

Degree in Engineering or related field is required. Degree from an ABET accredited university is preferred. Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a minimum of a PhD with at least 19 years or experience, a Masters with at least 23 years of experience, or BS with at least 25 years of experience.
The candidate is required to have\:
Senior systems and integration engineer with at least 20 years of experience related to space flight hardware DDT&E, small satellite, launch integration, and NASA systems engineering.Experience with NASA 7120.8 and tailoring of the NASA systems engineering process with joint NASA and DoD R&D spacecraft missions
Lead Systems Engineer and project management skillsets with experience coordinating complex efforts with multiple stakeholders including the DoD.
Essential Functions
Work Environment
Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Requires travel in the domestic USA as well as OCONUS locations (<10%). Requires ability to work at a computer for long periods of time(100%).
Physical Requirements
Requires sitting for extended periods of time in meetings with peers, management, and with our client at NASA facilities to discuss technical issues (10%). Also, requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk to write reports and perform engineering tasks (40%). Requires ability to use stairs or elevators for access between floors and multiple buildings at NASA and our facilities (10%).
Equipment and Machines
Requires ability to operate a personal computer, a telephone, fax machine, copier, calculator, and other general office equipment (100%).
Attendance
This is a part-time position – work schedule will be coordinated with the customer and will be dependent on the needs of the project schedule. Normal workday is from 7\:30 a.m. through 4\:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday. Minimal overtime may be required (10%) to meet schedule milestones and to support technical demands of the job. Regular attendance is a necessity and adequate arrangements for delegating duties during absences are required.
Other Essential Functions
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, to make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgment is essential (100%). Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required.
