What You Will Do:

Our Sr. Systems Engineer will provide design, engineering, and administration services for a Law Enforcement Agency. Acts independently under general direction. Provides technical assistance and advice on complex activities. Formulates / defines specifications, develops / modifies / maintains complex systems and subsystems, using vendor engineering releases and utilities for overall operational systems. Applies analytical techniques when gathering information from users, defining work problems, designing technology solutions, and developing procedures to resolve the problems. Works with considerable freedom to make decisions on the techniques and approaches to be used. Prepares recommendations for system improvement for management and user consideration.

Responsibilities of this role are as follows, to include but not limited to:

Support infrastructure systems on Windows-based platforms

Support and maintain high availability, distributed, multi-clustered server infrastructure and systems

Responsible for server infrastructure analysis, optimization, and capacity planning

Technical writing/creation of formal documentation such as architecture diagrams, technical designs, and SOPs

Work in a classified engineering environment

What You Will Need:

An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "TOP SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance.

Once onboard with Guidehouse, new hire MUST be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "TOP SECRET/SCI (TS/SCI)" security clearance.

Minimum SIX (6) years of experience in engineering and/or deploying complex IT systems

Experience with supporting, operating and maintaining a 24/7 mission-critical data center infrastructure

What Would Be Nice To Have:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience. Master’s Degree may be substituted for 4 years of general work experience.

Virtual Datacenter experience supporting VMware vCenter and ESXi environments

Have a working knowledge of:

Active Directory

DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP

Group Policy

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) experience supporting Citrix environments

Windows Server Administration

Windows Desktop Administration

Citrix Workspace and Apps

Scripting languages (PowerShell, Python)

Linux administration

Cloud Providers such as AWS and Azure

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
