We are looking for a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer in Morton Grove!
**Key responsibilities include** **:**
+ Live our culture and exemplify our Growth Enabling Behaviors to be highly enabled to deliver, highly empowered to succeed and highly accountable to lead.
+ Supporting and improving the Supplier Quality Management system.
+ Support supplier base for all Xylem segments
+ Provide input for supplier scorecards for top suppliers and provide feedback to suppliers and internal customers
+ Monitoring supplier performance, including on-time delivery and quality metrics.
+ Managing supplier deviations and leading continuous improvement and development initiatives.
+ Participating in supplier selection by conducting technical capability and in-plant assessments or reviewing supplier self-assessments. Partner with Strategic Sourcing team to improve on Supplier Relationship Management and supplier development activities
+ Pursue supplier charge backs and cost saving opportunities
+ Provide assistance during new supplier qualification and selection and also re-qualification of previous suppliers
+ Leading technical outsourcing assessments to ensure suppliers meet Xylem’s quality standards.
+ Facilitating the seamless integration of new suppliers into the supply chain.
+ Developing strong, strategic partnerships with suppliers to ensure a balance of high quality and lowest total cost.
+ Collaborating with Global Procurement and Category Management to align supplier capabilities with business objectives.
+ Conducting on-site supplier audits domestically and internationally.
This role is essential in building and maintaining a robust, cost-effective, and high-quality supply base that supports Xylem’s global operations and customer satisfaction.
**POSITION REQUIREMENTS**
+ BS Degree in Quality, Engineering or equivalent
+ 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Plant Quality, Supply Chain and/or Operations
+ Expertise/experience in problem solving with quality tools such as: Six Sigma, FMEA, RCCA, Control Plans, etc.
+ Demonstratable knowledge in print and product specifications (GD&T a plus)
+ Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) knowledge required
+ Experience in VA/VE a plus
+ Certifications an advantage including Six Sigma Black Belt, ISO9001 Auditor, Certified Quality Auditor, etc.
+ Up to 40% Travel to vendors and suppliers domestic and internationally
