Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer, Chassis: Structures and Driveline

We are seeking a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer for Chassis: Structures and Driveline — a critical role supporting supplier quality, engineering, and manufacturing objectives.

You Will: 

Own end-to-end supplier quality for assigned Chassis components.  Oversee annual PPAP requalification and engineering changes.  Guide engineering teams in selecting suppliers to meet Lucid’s standards and schedules.  Coordinate supplier industrialization with DRE, GSM, and CM; manage design docs, build schedules, and production progress.  Lead design reviews, integrate manufacturability early, and set quality expectations.  Work with suppliers on technical design and new manufacturing techniques.  Manage internal ECR and CM-PCN activities.  Exercise independent judgment to align with business objectives.  Develop quality plans, test methods, failure mode analyses, and drive preventive actions.  Communicate and contain supplier quality issues at the plant.  Investigate supplier quality problems, identify root causes, and implement corrective/preventive actions.  Conduct supplier audits, oversee process improvements, and monitor KPIs.  Support assembly builds, define incoming inspection, and resolve build issues with suppliers.  Travel up to 25% (domestic/international), often on short notice. 

You Bring: 

5+ years in high-volume manufacturing/assembly, supporting Chassis in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering Management.  Bachelor’s in Engineering (Master’s or equivalent preferred).  Experience in supplier industrialization, SQE, APQP, and PPAP for Chassis.  Leadership, strong analytical skills, executive-level communication, and budget management.  Expertise in schematics, engineering drawings, and quality standards/specs.  Proficiency in methodologies and tools (IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, SPC, MSA, FMEA, DOE, GD&T).  Preferred: ASQ, Six Sigma Black Belt certifications.  Strong interpersonal, data-driven decision-making, and creative problem-solving skills.  Adaptable, positive, continuously learning, and solution-oriented.  Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; plus Smartsheet, JMP, Minitab, JIRA, Tableau.  Preferred: background in castings, stampings, structures, bearings, or tires.
