We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor to lead a multidisciplinary team of mechanical and electrical technicians, as well as controls engineers, in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

 

You Will:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance personnel on 2nd shift. Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members. Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, robotics, conveyors, and facility systems. Prioritize and assign work orders based on production needs and equipment criticality. Collaborate with day shift and engineering teams to ensure smooth shift transitions and issue resolution. Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and PLC/controls systems. Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Work with controls engineers to implement automation improvements and resolve system faults. Identify and implement process improvements to increase equipment uptime and reduce maintenance costs. Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives, 5S, and TPM programs. Maintain accurate records of labor, parts usage, and downtime. Assist in planning and scheduling major repairs and shutdown activities. Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new maintenance staff.

 

You Bring:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial).(highly advantageous). 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, and PLC/automation systems (Allen-Bradley preferred). Experience in an automotive or high-volume manufacturing environment is a plus. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
