As a Sr. Staff Program Manager, you are instrumental in driving the mission of our Professional Services team, which is dedicated to accelerating and de-risking our customers' outcomes by ensuring the success of every project we undertake. Your role is pivotal in achieving project goals and maintaining an exceptional level of customer satisfaction throughout the process. This role will be focused on supporting our U.S. Government customers and will be responsible for orchestrating and coordinating the delivery of exceptional results as we engage with this critical customer set. Your practiced leadership and strategic influence will contribute directly to our clients' success and the growth of our business. In this position, you will report to the Senior Director of Public Sector Professional Services, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver excellence at every stage.
The impact you will have:
Responsible for the successful completion and delivery of some of our most complex customer engagements. They also provide leadership and guidance to the implementation team on how to meet and exceed the program/project goals. Individually delivers on commitments by producing quality deliverables, status reports, program/project plans, and customer responses on time and requiring minimal rework through inspection and mentoring. Effectively manages the different aspects of a program, including scope, schedule, program/project financials, risk, quality, and resources. Actively participates in regular reviews of high-risk and key engagements with the engagement team and Databricks stakeholders. Effectively builds and leverages customer relationships throughout the presales and delivery process. Ensures our engagements drive high customer satisfaction. Builds long-term relationships with clients that can be leveraged beyond specific engagements. Acts as the first point of escalation for customers when they have questions or concerns about our delivery. Additionally, provides escalation as needed into other parts of Databricks to ensure rapid resolution of technical and business issues. Consistently articulates a thorough understanding of Databricks’ vision and solutions to help deliver successful implementations and ensure positive engagement outcomes.What we look for:
Past experience managing large, complex engagements (6+ month, 20 person plus engagements, multiple stakeholders including partners/Customer/vendor) 6+ years of program/project management experience, ideally in a company similar to Databricks. Proven leadership and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with PS Operations and a strong ability to drive delivery management will be requirements. Experience with BI, Data Management, and big data technologies is preferred. Excellent communication and strong conflict resolution skills. Proven written communication and documentation skills, along with strong project management experience and negotiation skills. Strong abilities to multitask, manage multiple engagements, while delivering an extremely high level of customer satisfaction. Experience working with PSA tools is a plus. A TS/SCI+ clearance is required.
Pay Range Transparency
Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipated utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
