ISS STOXX is looking for a Sr. SQL Server Database Administrator to join our team in Mumbai (Goregaon East), India.

Responsibilities:
Expertise in Installing, Configuring, Managing, Monitoring and Troubleshooting MS SQL Servers. MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL and Oracle plus. Experience in applying patches and service packs to keep Database at the current patch level.
Expertise in Setting up security polices and creating appropriate logins, roles & permissions, SQL Server Replication, Mirroring, Log Shipping, Always On Groups, Backup/Recovery, Disaster Recovery and Planning, Indexes, Table Partitioning, Traces
Expertise troubleshooting T-SQL slow queries using DMVs, trace, performance monitoring tools and tuning queries using query rewrite, index redesign, Query Store, tweaking SQL Server configuration values, Server configurations and other methodologies.
Strong understanding of different types of JOINs, HINTs, operators in execution plan, lock compatibilities and must be able provide resolution for frequent Blocking and Deadlocks situations in highly pressurized situations. and how optimizer engine works
Technical expertise in Temp usage and its configurations for optimal performance.
Expertise in DBA on Production Servers with server configuration, performance tuning and maintenance with outstanding troubleshooting capabilities.
Strong technical background along with the ability to perform business analysis and write effective documentation and specifications.
Worked in T-SQL writing stored procedures, triggers and functions and knowledge in Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS) and upgrade, migration of it.
Expert in data transformation services and Bulk Loads with SSIS and BULK INSERT ETL operations.
Experience in using DMV and Dynamic Management Functions for finding out long running queries, performance troubleshooting, query plans.
Responsible for problem escalation and resolution by working closely with Application management/QA and development teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Mathematics or other similar concentration.
7+ years of hands-on experience with SQL Server database administration. Experience with other RDBMS such as PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MySQL is not required but considered a plus.
Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and database management tools like SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), PL/SQL
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation is plus..
Knowledge of high availability options for SQL Server, such as clustering and replication is plus.
Basic understanding of MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL and Oracle a plus.
