Hexcel is currently seeking a Sr. Sourcing Specialist for our Salt Lake City, UT location. Other Hexcel manufacturing locations will also be considered. Support sourcing operations across U.S. sites by coordinating day-to-day activities and helping meet company sourcing goals. This role also contributes to developing and maintaining strategies for routine commodities used across multiple locations, offering a great opportunity to build procurement experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
Lead supplier cost, quality and delivery initiatives; manage external material sourcing and support global and regional category strategies.Conduct and support supplier negotiations in alignment with legal and stakeholder requirements; serve as liaison between site leadership and suppliers to achieve sourcing goals.Develop and maintain sourcing plans and risk mitigation strategies; scout new suppliers and materials to enhance cost, quality, and risk mitigation.Monitor supplier performance using KPIs; implement action plans and continuous improvement strategies across sourcing phases and production.Analyze spend data to inform cost-reduction and service-improvement strategies; report performance and progress to executive leadership and internal stakeholders.Assist the Sourcing Director and the sourcing team with budget planning and strategic initiatives related to material spend and supplier management.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business, or related field.3–5 years of relevant work experience with a proven track record in challenging manufacturing environments; aerospace industry experience desired. Background in Chemical sourcing or Engineering a plus.Proficiency in data analytics for supplier evaluation and spend management.Green Belt and/or Project Management Certifications preferred.Familiarity with quality standards: AS9100 and ISO 9001.Eligible candidates must be a: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.
