Sr. Sourcing Manager- Lab Consumables

We are seeking a Senior Manager for the Research and Pre-Clinical Development (R&pD) Lab Consumables team. This role involves developing and managing strategies for our subcategories, planning and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives. We develop sourcing specifications, requirements, and scopes of work for RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs. As a team, we gather and assess data through benchmarking, market intelligence reports, and Voice of the Customer (VoC) interviews, and perform analytics on spend, inventory levels, utilization, and important metric measurements. Additionally, we deliver measurable cost savings and monitor these savings against contracted terms and pricing. You are expected to manage risk and contribute to the development of junior team members. 

This position will be on-site 4 days/week at our Tarrytown, NY offices. We are unable to have this as a remote or hybrid positions. If eligible, we are able to offer relocation benefits. 

A typical day may include the following: 
•    Accountable for supporting the definition and implementation of our strategy to serve global and regional business needs as assigned.
•    Works closely with collaborators to manage discussions related to align category priorities.
•    Manages negotiations, supplier management activities, and partner engagement activities. 
•    Takes direction to drive value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from category management activities.
•    Represents Global Procurement by participating in organizational decisions categories with critical short and long-term impact on the success, efficiency, growth, and results. 
•    Demonstrates knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes to support the growth and evolution to drive improvements. 
•    .Manages category activities to ensure compliance with appropriate GxPs and other applicable regulations, as applicable.
•    Negotiates contract terms and conditions in consultation with Law department aligned with Regeneron’s priorities and business requirements.
•    Uses data to drive decision-making for successful category projects.
•    Coaches proficiency on procurement technical skills among global procurement team.

This may be for you if you: 
•    Have utilized data analytics, automation and visualization tools to drive insights and communicate using (PowerBI, Tableau, Power Automate)
•    Can demonstrate success and experience with cost models and total cost of ownership models
•    Can operate with integrity, focus, and clarity in an environment of ambiguity to drive change and improvement.
•    Have experience providing insight and knowledge regarding rates, unit costs, and costing structures to enable optimal negotiations.

To be considered you are to have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study plus relevant, progressive experience in procurement. Experience in Pharma/BioPharma with cross-functional in the Lab Consumables category or related categories through effective sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management is required. Experience with inventory management programs including technology solutions (RFID, QR codes, others), consignment programs, VMI solutions, single use materials, bio reagents and media is necessary. 

Uses external data sources, market information, and supplier engagement to constantly improve Regeneron’s knowledge of supply market dynamics.
Solid understanding with sourcing contracting tools, ERP’s, and eRFx systems preferred. (Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, Other)

Solid understanding and hands on experience supporting sourcing platform technologies preferred (LabViva, Zageno, ScienceExhange, Scientist.com, others)

Salary Range (annually)

$132,400.00 - $216,000.00
