Job Description

Leadership and Management: Lead a team of sourcing professionals, including Analysts and Managers, ensuring alignment with Visa’s operational goals and objectives. Implement and manage Standard Operating Procedures for Procurement Operations and the Shared Service Center. Supervise the Procurement Operations team to ensure delivery of buying activities meet or exceed the agreed service level agreements. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Empower team members by providing the necessary resources, support, and opportunities for professional growth. Support the Manager in monitoring team performance and identifying areas for improvement.

Operational Excellence: Ensure efficient and effective procurement and sourcing of goods and services while maintaining transparency and adhering to best practices. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the sourcing process and outcomes. Manage the PR to PO process development and transition to the global SSC. Establish a customer service and process improvement-focused work culture. Provide training, clearly define roles throughout Procurement Operations, and establish a continuous improvement culture. Develop and implement team development programs to enhance skills and capabilities. Establish clear team KPIs and performance metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement. Monitor and analyze team performance against KPIs, providing regular feedback and coaching to ensure objectives are met. Foster a collaborative and empowering work environment that encourages innovation and excellence. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the Director to drive sourcing initiatives and achieve organizational goals.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Procurement, and other departments, to ensure alignment and support of sourcing initiatives. Act as a liaison between the sourcing team and other departments to facilitate smooth operations and address any issues that arise. Develop training materials and deliver training on operational KPIs.

Supplier Relationship Management: Develop, manage, and grow strong relationships with current and future suppliers. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to ensure high-quality service delivery. Implement supplier performance metrics and regularly review supplier performance against these metrics.

Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with Visa’s policies and procedures, as well as relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Identify and mitigate sourcing risks. Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize potential disruptions in the supply chain.

Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and analysis on sourcing activities, performance metrics, and cost savings. Present findings and recommendations to senior management. Utilize procurement software and tools to analyze data and generate insights

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related fieldMinimum of 7-10 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain managementProven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop a teamStrong negotiation and contract management skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesEffective communication and interpersonal skillsFluent in both English & Spanish

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) in a related fieldExperience in a global sourcing environment, with knowledge of international procurement practicesFamiliarity with Visa’s products and servicesCertification in supply chain management or procurement (e.g., CPSM, CSCP)
