You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our life-saving technologies within an Agile environment, driving innovation and fostering a high-performing team. **Your role:** + Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of software test engineers through regular 1:1s, providing technical guidance, fostering career growth, and effectively managing team performance and resources. + Cultivating deep understanding of business needs and technical roadmap, and set clear quality standards in collaboration with other Engineering Managers and corresponding business leaders. + Establish clear performance expectations, foster a culture of accountability and ownership within the test team, and cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement. + Provide strategic leadership to the QA team to continuously optimize test plans and strategies, leveraging data and analysis to design and implement improvements that significantly enhance testing efficiency, coverage, and overall product quality. + Guide the team in applying sound project management principles, proactively identifying and mitigating testing-related risks, and adhering to and improving established process management frameworks to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables + Define, track, and analyze key quantitative and qualitative quality metrics to provide data-driven insights that enable effective decision-making regarding product quality, release readiness, and risk/return trade-offs. + Collaborate closely with software architects, product owners, product managers, and project/program managers to ensure that all software artifacts meet architectural guidelines, performance constraints (SLAs/SLOs), business requirements, and project timelines, advocating for quality throughout the development lifecycle. + Ensure adherence to relevant development processes, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., for medical devices), actively participating in audits and driving initiatives to maintain compliance and enhance product quality + Keeping abreast of technical developments and practices in own field through literature, courses/trainings, technical contacts, and a competitive environment. **You're the right fit if:** + Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent field. + Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in software testing, with a strong foundation in test automation principles and a demonstrated ability to transition into leadership roles. + At least 5 years of proven leadership experience within software quality engineering, including hands-on technical leadership in test automation and quality engineering practices, with a track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams. + 3-5 years of hands-on experience implementing and leading quality engineering practices, including test automation frameworks and strategies. + Experience managing complex R&D project(s), including those with geographically distributed teams and stakeholders. + Demonstrates enterprise mindset and platform thinking, with the ability to ensure quality across interconnected systems + Experience with large-scale 24/7 production environments. + Working experience in agile/SAFe development methodologies + Strong interpersonal skills, communication, attention to detail, and initiative. + Strong understanding of modern software engineering best practices, such as CI/CD and DevOps principles. + Passion for facilitating team growth, empowering individuals, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. + Demonstrated ability to encourage and support the personal and professional development of team members. **Following experiences are nice to have but not mandatory** + Medical devices or solutions knowledge + Experience in software project deliveries in healthcare/regulated environment **How we work together** We believe that we are better together than apart.
