Robert Bosch LLC seeks Sr. Software Engineer (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 15000 N Haggerty Road, Plymouth, Michigan 48170. Responsible for building and supporting product validation test systems for mobility products such as Vacuum and Electronic Bake Boosters. Test systems, which include both new and legacy test equipment developed in software languages such as LabVIEW, Python, Test Stand, VB.NET, C#, VB6. Test system hardware consists of components such as analog/digital IO, communications (Ethernet, CAN, and LIN), simulation of electrical loads, custom PCBs, signal conditioning, panel wiring and hydraulic and electrical actuators. Support the aforementioned test equipment, and troubleshoot tester issues, both hardware and software, and make changes to testers to suit application based off of customer requirements. Document requirements and changes, manage multiple projects and respond quickly to issues as they occur. Develop software and hardware solutions to accomplish test requirements and follow and contribute to global test equipment development best practices. Negotiate test systems requirements with internal customers, develop new or modified test system specifications, obtain equipment quotations, and manage the building and acceptance of automotive electronic design verification test systems. Coordinate with the product engineering teams to debug test equipment and resolve test system concerns such as proving failure cause, validating measurement accuracy, logging, and analyzing CAN traffic. Respond to customer requests to add and update functions to testing systems. Maintain and prioritize open issues lists and drive toward solutions. REQS: This position requires a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or a related field plus 5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer, Test Engineer, or occupation involving software design or electrical design. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Test systems or automation control; (2) Test Stand, LabVIEW, Microsoft Visual Studio tools (VB6 or VB.NET) or similar; (3) Development of test software, software debugging and software documentation; (4) Using electronics and development tools (multimeters or oscilloscopes); (5) Brake booster performance test systems and brake booster durability test systems; and (6) Programming Modicon, Steeple Chase, and Wago PLCs.
