Are you a seasoned software engineer with a passion for leadership, technical excellence, and driving impactful solutions? We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Technical Anchor & Lead Software Engineer to join our team.
This is a unique and pivotal role that blends deep technical expertise with strong leadership. You will be instrumental in guiding and mentoring software engineering teams, driving technical strategy, and architecting robust, scalable software solutions. You'll be involved in the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) – from design and architecture to development, testing, and deployment of critical applications. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 8+ years of progressive IT and full-stack development experience, including 5+ years as a Software Engineer with expertise in Python, demonstrating exceptional software engineering knowledge and practices 5+ years of experience with Machine Learning (ML) technologies, frameworks, and concepts. 2+ years of experience as a Lead Software Engineer, specifically leading and guiding other developers. 2+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS or Azure services relevant to software development and data analytics. 1+ year experience modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular or React).Even better, you may have…
Proficiency with Git version control. Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs. Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to teach, mentor, and upskill others. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and navigate complex decision-making processes. Experience applying agile practices to solution delivery. Certifications in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Prior experience in the automotive industry or manufacturing analytics. A portfolio or examples of previous impactful software projects. Experience with DataOps or MLOps practices.

What You'll Do
Lead & Mentor:
Guide, mentor, and inspire a team of talented software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. Champion best practices, including paired programming, to facilitate cross-training, upskilling, and accelerate problem-solving and delivery. Actively participate in hiring processes and talent retention initiatives, helping to build and sustain a world-class engineering team.Drive Technical Strategy & Architecture:
Lead the technical strategy and execution for developing robust, scalable, and secure software solutions. Collaborate closely with Architects and other Technical Anchors to design and architect solutions that meet complex business needs. Define and enforce best practices and coding standards for various technologies (e.g., Python, Angular/React, Git, GCP), working with other Technical Anchors and Centers of Excellence.Hands-on Development & Delivery:
Work closely with Product Managers and Product Owners to translate high-level business value needs ("the WHAT") into detailed, actionable User Stories ("the HOW") for the engineering team. Engage in full-stack development, demonstrating proficiency in both front-end (user interface) and back-end (server-side logic, databases) development. Design and implement secure, efficient RESTful APIs to ensure seamless communication between different parts of applications. Work proficiently with both SQL and NoSQL databases, designing optimal schemas and writing high-performance queries. Utilize your expertise in Python, GCP, Git, AI/ML frameworks, and modern web frameworks like Angular or React.Solve Complex Problems & Optimize Delivery:
Analyze complex technical and business problems, identify bottlenecks, and develop effective, innovative solutions. Strategically balance the pursuit of "doing it right" with the imperative of "speed to delivery," adeptly identifying and mitigating risks, generating viable options, educating stakeholders, and managing justified technical debt.Collaborate & Consult:
Collaborate extensively with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and other Software Engineers to develop robust analytical products. Act as a trusted technical consultant to business partners in Design Cost & Complexity, understanding their needs and processes to ensure the relevancy and impact of our products, rather than simply taking orders. Work effectively with key stakeholders outside the immediate project team to understand requirements and resolve issues.Ensure Compliance:
