As a Senior Software Engineer, you will make an impact by developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions using Spring Boot and Java to meet business requirements. You will be a valued member of our outstanding team and collaborate with other collaborators.
**In this role, you will**
+ Collaborate with multi-functional teams to craft, implement, and test new features and improvements.
+ Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to ensure standard methodologies are upheld.
+ Analyze and resolve sophisticated technical issues related to Medicare and Medicaid Claims processing.
+ Ensure code quality and maintainability through code reviews unit testing and continuous integration.
+ Participate in the full software development lifecycle including requirements gathering design development testing and deployment.
+ Collaborate closely with product owners and collaborators to grasp business needs and convert them into technical solutions.
+ Optimize application performance and scalability to handle large volumes of claims data efficiently.
+ Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the software development process.
+ Document technical specifications and system architecture to promote understanding and sustainability.
+ Collaborate with QA teams to ensure thorough testing and validation of software solutions.
+ Provide production support and solve issues to ensure smooth operation of the software systems.
+ Contribute to the overall success of the company by delivering high-quality software solutions that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Medicare and Medicaid Claims processing.
**What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)**
+ Possess strong expertise in Spring Boot and Java with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
+ Have significant domain knowledge in Medicare and Medicaid Claims processing.
+ Demonstrate proficiency in software development standard methodologies such as code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration.
+ Possess the ability to document technical specifications and system architecture.
+ Demonstrate the ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

**Working arrangements**

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client OR Cognizant office in Mississauga.
