This hybrid role combines hands-on software development with practical data science. You will play a key role in defining approaches to adaptive forecasting and anomaly detection.
What the role offers:
As a Senior Software Engineer / Data Scientist, you will have opportunities to:
Design and implement forecasting models to predict trends in transactional EDI and ERP data (e.g., purchase orders, invoices, shipments).Develop anomaly detection algorithms to identify irregularities in data flows, system behavior, and business processes.Apply statistical, machine learning, and deep learning techniques to large-scale structured and semi-structured datasets.Translate your ideas into commercial software solving customer problems.Monitor model performance and continuously improve accuracy and reliability.Document and communicate findings, methodologies, and system designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What you need to Succeed:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.5+ years of experience in software engineering or data science roles.Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data engineering tools (e.g., Airflow, Spark, Pandas).Solid software engineering skills (Java, Spring, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevOps)Experience with time series forecasting (ARIMA, Prophet, LSTM, etc.) and anomaly detection techniques.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.Knowledge of business operations, supply chain, or EDI systems.
