Our colleagues enjoy a collaborative work environment with a strong safety culture and a balanced mix of lab and desk work. **Location** Burnaby, B.C. **Job Type** Full-time; Permanent **How will you make an impact?** This position will spend a majority of its time focused on services that include logistic support, lab support, and sample management to help our clients focus on research. You will promote a safe and constantly improving work environment by participating in site safety programs, cost savings analysis, and process improvement initiatives. **What will you do?** **Multi-function responsibilities include, but are not limited to:** + Equipment Upkeep: Perform lab equipment maintenance following company protocols and maintain appropriate records. This includes tasks such as freezer defrosting, incubator decontamination, etc. + Escort vendors for onsite service events. + Register incoming chemicals/reagents, update internal system, conduct monthly inventory, dispose of materials, coordinate HHM disposal. + Receiving: receive and store incoming biological samples in appropriate temperature locations, handle dry ice, liquid nitrogen and collapse or recycle packaging material. + Biological Material Management: Access cryo- and ultra-low freezers to coordinate, transfer, or remove materials in an accurate and timely manner and track records in an internal spreadsheet. Using inventory systems to enter biological materials upon arrival.
