Implementing SRE on the infrastructure and application/services that they, as a team, own and operate
Expected to take same approach across the entire AWS footprint within the org
o Apply SRE to global environment - specifically looking at services critical to Charter's workloads
o Have such a large presence in AWS, they might be able to see if they're having problems with a service before they hear it from them
o At minimum they will have to have observability over the local network before global
Running variety of different things: EC2 instances, react front-end/python back-end application they own and support, some Lambdas, some step-functions, a few more unique implementations that don't have observability and are critical for deploying things across all the accounts. Rate starts at $65/hr and ranges up depending on years of experience.
Goal is to monitor, alert, understand health, and understand where they can scale-down across the network
