Sr. SDE - ML, SEAS, Stores Economics and Science (SEAS)
Amazon
Description
The Stores Economics and Science (SEAS) team is a Stores wide interdisciplinary science and economics team with a peak jumping mission: we apply expertise in science and engineering to move from local to global optima in methods, models, and software. We pursue this mission by leveraging frontier science, collaborating with partners across Amazon, and learning from the tools, experience, and perspective of others. Our approach involves solving problems first at a small scale to prove concepts, and then scaling successful solutions to drive broad impact.
Economics and emerging machine learning (ML) remain the two key focus areas for our team. Emerging ML represents the interdisciplinary connective tissue of SEAS. We use this focus area to keep our tools sharp by keeping up with the state of the art in ML, causal sciences, and experimentation; and to perform transfer learning across fields through applied work in collaboration with top scholars in those fields.
