SR. SALES TAX ACCOUNTANT ABOUT YOU: Join our dynamic sales tax team where we dive into all things sales tax, from mastering reporting and compliance, to being an efficiency driver within processes and technology. You’ll be a key player in spotting tax risks and opportunities, while also teaming up with Finance, Independent Sales Reps, and the greater company to share your tax knowledge and being an active liaison. If you love turning complex tax insights into savvy solutions while creating strong stakeholder relationships, this is the place for you! YOU WILL: Support. Monitor legislative and regulatory changes in sales and use tax laws; assess and implement changes to compliance processes needed to maintain compliance. Update and Maintain. Maintain exemption certificates in Vertex and research and provide guidance to internal employees and independent reps on exemption certificate requirements Develop. Oversee monthly tax account reconciliations and journal entries. Prepare daily cash reconciliations on a limited basis for Treasury and serve as back-up for wires and certain foreign payments. Advise. Manage monthly sales and tax data from Oracle and data received from various non-Oracle product lines and provide to third party consultants for tax return preparation. Strengthen. Develop and implement process improvements to mitigate risks and improve compliance processes. Help. Assist with tax audits, research, and special projects. Other projects as necessary. Typical/expected % of overnight travel. None to minimal. YOU HAVE: Experience. 3-5 years of prior experience in sales and use tax compliance in a multi-state environment. Education. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field. Technical Skills. Solid understanding of sales tax principles, including nexus, exemptions, and regulatory compliance, with proven application in complex scenarios. Proficiency in tax software (ie. Vertex O) and accounting systems. Preferred Oracle and Vertex O software. Drive. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, demonstrated ability to identify and resolve compliance issues, streamlining process, and implement solutions while working under tight deadlines. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment. Great Communication Skills. Ability to effectively communicate tax information in both verbal and written forms. LOVE WHERE YOU WORK: We care about your health.
