THE POSITION
The Senior R&D Manager for the Data Science Team\nwill lead our data-driven initiatives by leveraging advanced analytics and\ninnovative methodologies. The right candidate will guide a team of data\nscientists, analytics professionals, and researchers in developing cutting-edge\nsolutions to support our strategic goals. This position requires a strong\ntechnical background, expertise in data science methodologies, and leadership\nskills to foster collaboration and creativity within the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Team\n Leadership: Lead,\n mentor, and manage a team of data scientists and researchers in the\n analysis, modeling, and interpretation of complex data sets. Foster\n a culture of innovation, encouraging team members to explore new\n techniques and creative problem-solving approaches.Project\n Management: Oversee\n multiple projects from conception through implementation, ensuring they\n are completed on time and within budget. Develop\n and implement project timelines, resource allocation, and risk management\n strategies.Research\n and Development: Drive\n the development of advanced statistical models, machine learning\n algorithms, and predictive analytics to enhance product offerings and\n operational efficiency. Envision\n and spearhead the implementation of infrastructure essential for\n advancing the transformation of artificial intelligence in materials\n research.Collaboration: Work\n closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D leaders, product\n management, and ISC, to integrate data-driven insights into business\n strategies. Collaborate\n with external partners and academic organizations to leverage\n cutting-edge research and technologies.Strategic\n Vision: Contribute\n to the strategic direction of the company by creating and implementing\n the roadmaps for implementing AI in to material research. Stay\n abreast of industry trends and advancements in data science and\n analytics, ensuring the team's methodologies remain current and\n effective.Data\n Governance: Ensure\n data quality, integrity, and security in all projects, adhering to relevant\n regulations and best practices. Implement\n data management strategies that promote responsible and ethical use of\n data within the organization.Performance\n Metrics: Establish\n and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of data\n science initiatives. Present\n findings and recommendations to leadership based on data analysis.

Salary Range: $170,000- $213,000
