**The Opportunity**
This position works out of our Costa Rica Zona Franca Coyol location in the Abbott Vascular business unit. The products manufacture in this business unit are innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for the treatment of vascular disease.
This position provides leadership and guidance for the Quality Assurance Services departments supporting Abbott Vascular Costa Rica. Responsible for developing goals, objectives, procedures, policies and systems that are in the with company goals and objectives, mission and vision and FDA/ISO regulations. Daily responsibilities include managing activities and areas that support the shared Quality Services within Abbott Vascular to ensure change management quality and product release activities are executed and tracked in accordance with Abbott Quality System requirement and FDA/ISO regulations.

+ Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations, etc.).
+ Develops, monitors and appropriately adjusts the annual Budget for department(s) with assistance from management.
+ Incorporates business policies and procedures into task completion. Understands the business needs of the company and has knowledge of the customer needs of our business.
+ Cultivates internal and external network of resources to complete tasks. Interacts with internal and external customers, by meeting regulatory, responding to request and explaining procedures. Interacts cross functionally and with internal and external customers.
+ Mentor's employees by sharing technical expertise and providing feedback and guidance.
+ Implements staffing plan by identifying resource requirements, writing justifications for additional personnel, obtaining approval for changer, and coordinating the selection process with Human Resources.
+ Develops direct report by securing appropriate training, assigning progressively challenging tasks, applying progressive disciplinary action as appropriate and conducting formal written and verbal performance reviews.
+ Monitors daily work operations and provides direction and guidance to lower-level supervisor, supervisors, experienced exempt employees, or skilled nonexempt staff to achieve unit or project goals.
+ Interacts with internal and external customers, by meeting regularly, responding to request and explaining procedures.
+ Interprets and executes policies that affect work processes and personnel within the assigned organizational unit.
+ Contributes to the development or operational policies and procedures that affect personnel within the assigned organizational unit.

**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in careers linked to STEM areas.
+ Minimum 8 years of experience of management, laboratory experience (testing, receiving inspection) and regulates industry knowledge.
