CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Sr. Project Manager (OPM) to join our Commercial & Institutional – PM/CM Team at our Boston, MA office.

We provide the necessary tools and skillset to effectively manage construction projects from schools and apartment buildings to municipal buildings and warehouses.

 

At CHA, the Sr. Project Manager (OPM) will be responsible for the overall management and oversight of capital projects within the group. This key role will serve as a consultant on cities, towns, and higher education capital projects and manage the overall client relationship including any technical, financial, or logistical issues that may arise. The Sr. Project Manager (OPM) will interface with market teams, clients, and project teams to successfully complete projects within the scope, budget, and schedule while thoroughly understanding all project risks. Our Sr. Project Managers (OPM) are skilled collaborators who are experts at problem solving and adapting and staying calm under pressure. The professional in this role sells and develops work with specific clients, ultimately leading to a “seller/doer” dual role. Additionally, this individual works with Market Leaders to identify target areas and develop marketing plans.

 

The Sr. Project Manager (OPM) coordinates contracts with the client, subcontractors, purchase orders, daily correspondence, and all other project related documents. This individual is responsible for all project financials, and reviews/manages/approves subcontractor payments. The Sr. Project Manager (OPM) clearly communicates updates to the client, management, and project team, as well as prepares for and attends monthly project review meetings with operations.

 

The Sr. Project Manager (OPM) develops project specific health and safety plan in coordination with health and safety manager and communicates the plan with the project team, as well as monitors the plan. Additionally, this role is responsible for verifying that projects meet required QA/QC compliance as determined by Quality Management Plan.

REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, architecture, science, planning, engineering management or a related degree is required or equivalent combination of experience and licensure  Professional license preferredA minimum of 9 years of industry experience required; a minimum of 6 years of project management experience requiredExpert knowledge of project engineering and/or general construction principles and construction schedule  Knowledge of multi-prime contracts  Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships  Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations and project closeout documents for projects requiredExperience in Microsoft Office Suite requiredExperience understanding and interpreting client contract requirementsAbility to track and oversee multiple projects requiredExperience utilizing problem-solving skills, exercising discretion, and making independent judgments required  Experience managing project accounting processes to include project budgeting, forecasts and cash management requiredAn articulate and persuasive communicator, with excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiencesKnowledge of Deltek Vision preferredKnowledge of MS Project and/or Primavera P6 preferredConsulting industry experience highly preferredStrong ability to resolve matters timely and lead initiatives/projects to completion with a sense of urgency  Ability to inspire, motivate, build and manage relationships and influence decisions from the top down and bottom up  Trustworthy with the ability to handle confidential matters and sensitive information or situations with discretionAbility to travel as needed required SALARY RANGE:

$132,000 - $160,000

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
