Sr. Project Manager
Amentum
The decommissioning contractor PM will be responsible for evaluating the appropriateness and adequacy of the technical services provided for the decommissioning, responsible for developing the technical approaches and level of effort required to address each task, and will be on site during major phases of the project. The PM is also responsible for the day-to-day conduct of work, including integration of input from supporting disciplines and subcontractors and reporting appropriate information to USACE. The PM has direct authority over the Site Manager (SM) and works in parallel with project quality and safety personnel during the implementation of the field program. Specific responsibilities of the PM include, but are not limited to: • Initiating project planning and directing project activities
• Ensuring qualified technical personnel are assigned to various tasks, including
subcontractors
• Identifying and fulfilling equipment and other resource requirements
• Monitoring project activities to ensure compliance with established scopes, schedules, and
budgets
• Ensuring overall technical quality and consistency of project activities and deliverables
• Ensuring a safe and healthy workplace
• Ensuring required permits have been obtained prior to the start of work
• Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
• Serving as the primary point-of-contact to USACE
The PM, in cooperation with the decommissioning contractor Quality Control Manager (QCM) and site safety managers, has the overall responsibility for ensuring activities are performed in accordance with the contract, regulatory requirements, and approved procedures.
+ Will be the lead PM for Amentum for SM-1A, then serve as the overall project Alternate PM and alternate site manager.
+ Will have PM responsibilities for additional environmental operational projects at Amentum.
+ To be detailed oriented.
+ Understand the EVMS process.
+ Have skills in field operations as well as technical document development.
+ Schedule review, revisions, and management.
+ Strong client management skills.
+ Understanding of the USACE process a plus.
Minimum Requirements:
10 years, or equivalent experience in the position and be able to perform the described responsibilities. 5 years of experience with radiological decommissioning or remediation project.
