Title: Senior Project Engineer

The Senior Project Engineer will design and execute multiple projects delivering scope, time, and cost safely according to a plan. Supports the overall operation, providing technical expertise and innovation, utilizing knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and experience by executing capital projects and learning to recognize improvement opportunities. Engages key stakeholders and effectively shares information.
Core Responsibilities:
Designs and executes multiple projects with some complexity, delivering scope, time, and cost according to a plan.Works with engineering service providers, contractors, and vendors to specify equipment and installations.Solicits bids on basic process equipment.Ensures processes and procedures comply with internal programs and external requirements.Develops engineering designs with some intermediate complexity, material and energy balances, process flow diagrams, preliminary P&IDs, and process control strategies.Possesses intermediate knowledge of project management methodology and project stages.Responsible for the full life cycle of project management process for capital projects: concept, design, estimating, proposal submittal, purchasing, installation, start-up, commissioning, documentation, training, and closure.Uses knowledge management tools to surface best solutions.Uses knowledge of the production process to make significant improvements to the production process.Captures and disseminates lessons learned.Analyzes data and performance targets to identify highest value improvement opportunities.Identifies needs/issues of the stakeholders and potential solutions.Actively engages stakeholders in discussions to understand more complex issues.Understands financial concepts and metrics (i.e.: GP, ROI, CM, OI, cash flow, working capital) to assess the value generated by alternative solutions.Be able to create data pipelines and dashboards utilizing the current tools for project/process improvement use.Assists with troubleshooting of equipment and systems issues.Applies knowledge of IPS operational governance, as it applies to project standardization.Has familiarity with management system implementation and assessment.Provides input for the creation of Best Operating Practices (BOP) and critical routines.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering and experience in project execution. Typically, with two to five years of project or process engineering experience desired.Can solve problems, find opportunities for improvement, and implement action plans and follow-up to ensure effective results.Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing process, and systems involved in its operation such as basic chemistry, material and energy balances, P&ID development, mechanical and physical/chemical separations, evaporation, drying, material handling, GMP, and energy management.Strong functional knowledge of Operations best practices.Working knowledge of SAP preferred.Strong analytical skills; intellectual rigor and curiosity; problem-solving capability.Sound technical ability and experience.Demonstrated knowledge of the use of personal computers to prepare reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.Demonstrated project management skills.Demonstrate a degree of sound judgment, resourcefulness, initiative, and innovation in handling complex technical assignments, with minimal supervision.Demonstrate leadership potential, are well-organized and team oriented.Ingredion Total Rewards and Benefits

$98,800.00-$131,733.33 AnnualThis pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation:
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
